Hi there!

Thank you for taking a look at my blog! This is basically a place where I will put my recent art work to share with you! I do already have an art gallery with a lot of my work on my DeviantART site (where I’m known as sweetnvicious), so feel free to check it out! I rarely write about my work on DeviantArt, so I thought this blog would be a better place for me to write about it.

A little about me…

I’ve never been to art school, but I did take some art classes during high school and at university. Yes, I thought a lot about going to art school, but at the same time I hated to be told what to do when it came to creating something. The pressure of creating something to please the teachers and to get good grades sucked the fun out of it and it mentally drained me. Don’t get me wrong – I did learn a lot in those classes too, but after a lot of thinking, I decided to go for another career. Still; art is my passion in life and I believe it’s something that I’ll always have with me.

My tools of the trade…

…would have to be pencils. I do enjoy colors and painting too, but I’ve been working a lot with pencils lately. I also enjoy digital art, although I haven’t done much of that recently.

So what’s the deal with my work?

Well, I don’t strive to be a famous artist, although if the opportunity to do something big would arise, that would make my work more seen by people, I would not back down on it! Other than that I just simply paint/draw for nobody’s sake but my own and I have fun doing it. I really enjoy when other people can appreciate my work, or even inspire them!

Every now and then I’ll make commission drawings too, something that I was quite opposed to for a long while, mainly because I suspected that the pressure would kill the fun. I still decided to give it a go, and well – it worked out quite well!
